WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A NEW PATIENT OFFICE VISIT?

A new patient office visit is 90 minutes and involves a thorough review of your health history, risk factors, supplement/medication list, previous labs (if applicable), and current health. I take a holistic approach reviewing all of this information and create a personalized plan.

After this visit, follow up appointments (paid for separately) would be anywhere from every 2 weeks to every 30 days in the beginning depending on the complexity of your treatment plan. Follow up visits will be to check-in on progress, review lab results, expand on treatment information, make changes to plan if needed, etc…

Follow up appointments can be in the office or via video/phone. Please note: you must be seen in-person at least 1x/year to maintain a doctor-patient relationship.

 

DOES DR. KELLER OFFER AN INITIAL CONSULTATION?

I offer a 15-minute introductory phone or video consultation for new patients at a reduced rate of $50.

 

HOW MUCH DO IN-PERSON OFFICE VISITS COST?

New Patient Office Visit is 90-min ($975)

Return Office Visit is 45-min ($375)

 

HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN IN-PERSON OFFICE VISIT?

New Patient Office Visit (90 min, $975) involves a thorough review of your health history, risk factors, supplement/medication list, previous labs (if applicable), and current health. I take a holistic approach reviewing all of this information and create a personalized plan.

 

ARE LABS AND SUPPLEMENTS INCLUDED IN THE VISIT PRICE?

No, labs and supplements are not included in the visit pricing and are an additional cost. I provide different options for lab testing to best accommodate you and run specials on supplements frequently.

 

WILL DR. KELLER REVIEW MY RECORDS PRIOR TO VISITS? IF SO, HOW DO I UPLOAD LABS?

I do not review any labs for the introductory consultations.

I do review labs for 45 minute appointments and 15 minute appointments for established clients. When you schedule, you will be sent an invitation to create your a Charm account. You can then upload your labs/records there.

Please note: there are certain labs/records that are more important in the beginning and I will focus on these first. This means that I may not review certain labs you include until a later date in your treatment/care. Many people have been dealing with health concerns for years and have many pages of labs, chart notes, etc. The treatment and care really does have to go in steps and within those steps certain labs are more relevant than others and I will make that call.

 

SHOULD I HAVE TESTING DONE AND RESULTS IN BEFORE SCHEDULING WITH DR. KELLER?

Having test results prior to your appointment is not required, and tests I request differ from person to person based on their personal healthcare journey and what testing they have had completed recently.

 

CAN YOU PERFORM FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS VIA VIDEO/PHONE?

Yes, video (FaceTime/Skype) or phone is available.

 

HOW MANY FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS WILL I NEED?

This will depend on the complexity of the case. Follow up visits could be anywhere from every 2 weeks to every 30+ days depending on the specific case.

 

HOW LONG OF A FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT SHOULD I SCHEDULE?

In a 15-minute appointment we have usually have time to check-in on progress, review 1-2 lab results and answer a couple of quick questions.

A 45 minute appointment is required to check-in on progress, review multiple or lengthy lab results/reports, reviews questions, make changes to plan if needed.

 

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY VISIT?

When you schedule any type of appointment you receive a confirmation email with the date/time of the visit along with other relevant details. To re-schedule or cancel your visit, please use the link provided in the confirmation email.

Cancellations / re-scheduled visits must be made at least 24 hours prior to the visit. Cancellations and re-scheduled visits less than 24 hours prior to the visit will be charged the full price of the visit and will need to re-schedule the visit. Refunds for advanced notice cancellations will be processed within 48-72 business hours. No refund will be offered for visits cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.

If you are 15 minutes late to an appointment you are considered a no-show and you will be charged the full price of the visit and will need to re-schedule for further visits.

*Cancellation/Re-schedule & No-Show Policy applies to all visits: Introductory Video Consultations, In-Person Office Visits, and Video/Phone Conferences.

 

DOES DR. KELLER BILL INSURANCE?

I am not contracted with any insurance companies and do not process insurance claims for patients. We believe that third party payers should not interfere with the doctor-patient relationship, influence medical decisions, or limit access to care. Your case requires special attention and time that is not covered by insurance companies.

However if you are an established patient I do provide a coded superbill which you can then submit to your insurance company. Please note: If you have not been seen in-person by Dr. Keller at least 1x/year we can not provide you with a coded super-bill.

 

WHERE IS DR. KELLER’S PRACTICE LOCATED?

My office is located off Wilshire Blvd (on Dunsmuir Ave) in Los Angeles, CA.

 

WHAT IS THE FAX NUMBER FOR THE CLINIC?

DOES DR. KELLER SEE PATIENTS FROM OUT-OF-STATE?

Yes. I welcome patients from across the country, and internationally. If you are traveling from afar you will need to see me in-person in the state of California at least once a year in order to maintain a doctor-patient relationship. 

 

DO I STILL NEED A PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR?

Yes. I do not provide acute or urgent care services and we do not replace the services that your current primary care medical team provides. I provide a stand alone service that is focused on root cause and advancing your health.

 

MAY I CONTACT DR. KELLER BETWEEN VISITS FOR QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS?

I can not guarantee availability between visits to address questions or concerns and it depends on the subject matter. You are welcome to ask clarifying questions via the Charm Portal regarding information provided at your consult, however any extensive or new questions will require you to schedule an appointment.

If you are experiencing an emergency situation, please go to your nearest urgent care or emergency room as we do not provide acute or urgent care services.

 

WHEN DO I START FEELING BETTER?

This is very specific to the individual and their case. Some patients/clients feel relief within a few days, while for others it may take months. Dr. Keller can provide you with a more specific timeline during your visit.
