I specialize in the treatment of SIBO including genetic and epigenetic influences linked to environmental toxins that contribute to an imbalanced gut microbiome and gut motility dysfunction. I obtained my doctor of naturopathic medicine degree from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon. My education included an extended internship and post graduate training with Steven Sandberg-Lewis ND, DHANP as well as post graduate training with Allison Siebecker ND, MSOM, LAc. and I was a founding physician in the development of the SIBO Center and SIBO Symposium(s) at NUNM.
I UNDERSTAND SIBO BECAUSE I’VE HAD SIBO!
For me, the breakthrough came by learning about the effects that lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from bacteria have on crucial biochemical pathways.
By paying close attention to eliminating overgrowth of bacteria and supporting my MTHFR compound heterozygous status I was able to make great strides in resolving and preventing relapse of gastrointestinal dysbiosis.
All of my research since – and it is ongoing – confirms these original insights. I share this knowledge with my patients as nearly everyone I’ve tested with SIBO has also had an MTHFR genetic mutation/s and I develop highly individualized treatments for each of them.
When you experience your body functioning properly, you discover a new found love and appreciation for yourself and your health.
I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
Together, we can get you back on track so that you begin experiencing the full results of living at your best!
In Best Health,
